I’ve been working full-time as a milliner since 2013, designing and handcrafting every piece in my Riddells Creek studio. With a milliner grandmother, I like to think it’s in my DNA!
Each creation is carefully blocked using my extensive wooden block collection, then hand-stitched with love, patience, and a sense of fun.
My work has appeared on catwalks, in magazines, and at Fashions on the Field events—including the thrill of a piece on a Paris runway and another at the Queen’s Garden Party at Buckingham Palace. I was honoured to be part of Melbourne Fashion Week’s “Boldly Different” exhibition and have collaborated with Ooroo Australia, creating millinery using textiles by award-winning Aboriginal artists and emerging designers.
As the owner and in-house tutor at The Millinery Retreat School of Millinery, I offer a hands-on, supportive teaching style for both beginners and experienced makers. My goal is to help each student build confidence and bring their creative visions to life.
I’m also one of the in-house milliners at The Hat Shop pop-up store, working alongside other talented Melbourne makers. I’ve judged for the Millinery Association of Australia’s Design Award, the Royal Melbourne Show, and served as a guest speaker and judge at spring fashion events.
I was proud to serve as President of the Millinery Association of Australia in 2019, 2020, and 2024.
My hope is that you enjoy wearing my pieces as much as I enjoy creating them!
