Rebecca Gray Millinery creates bold, sculptural headwear that blurs the lines between costume and couture, transforming each design into a performance. Inspired by storytelling, performance, and craftsmanship, my hats are infused with drama, magic, and play. Designs include top hats with mechanical movement or bespoke pieces that evoke dark fairytales and circus wonder.

Based in South East London, I craft headwear for individuals and performers. Since 2022, I’ve collaborated with Giffords Circus, merging artistry with traditional circus craftsmanship. This collaboration has deepened my understanding of how performance and fashion can come together to create something truly unique and captivating.

With an HNC in Millinery and Design, my final collection was inspired by the circus, leading to my ongoing work with Giffords Circus. The vibrant energy of the circus aligns with my creative vision, allowing me to design pieces that embody spectacle, movement, and theatricality. My BA Honours in Theatre, Film, and TV, combined with a background in acting, singing, and art, shapes my millinery practice. Each hat tells a unique story, drawing on my diverse experience in the arts.

After training at Kensington & Chelsea, I received The Worshipful Company of Feltmakers Design Award in 2021, marking the start of my professional journey. I’m passionate about education and collaboration, pushing boundaries, while creating bespoke pieces for individuals seeking distinctive headwear.
