Working in one of Paisleys historic thread mill buildings, Susie Rodgers is stitching her place in Renfrewshire’s rich textile history on her quest to take over the world one hat at a time.

A life-long wearer of hats Susie abandoned her yellow safety helmet from a career in health and safety for motherhood and when her son started school she went to college to study millinery. During her second week in college, she had a eureka moment and realised that she should forget science and safety and that making hats is what she should have been doing with her life. Susie has not stopped making hats since.

She has a passion for bespoke millinery and loves creating bespoke pieces for clients. There is also a collection of ready-to-wear hats for people who need a hat in a hurry.

Susie’s hats have been worn to weddings, Ascot and other racing ladies days, and Royal events; as well as featuring in exhibitions.
