Vanessa is a creative millinery designer with a studio at The Stables Artist Studios, in the stunning Hylands Estate in Chelmsford. Consultations are by appointment with free parking. Vanessa is passionate about creating a welcoming environment where clients can relax and enjoy the experience and excitement of putting the final unique touch to their special occasion outfit. A huge variety of designs and options mean that even the ‘I’m not a hat person’ can feel confident, comfortable and amazing. Prices to suit a range of budgets and some hire options are available from existing sample stock.

Vanessa’s craft skills and business has been recognised for three consecutive years in The Essex Wedding Awards and she had a headpiece chosen to be included in the Spanish Millinery Association International Exhibition in Barcelona in 2023. One of Vanessa’s headpieces has been modelled on a fashion slot on ITV’s This Morning and in 2023 her business and millinery journey was featured in an article in Prima magazine. Vanessa has trained with a number of prestigious milliners and continues to learn and develop new techniques, she particularly loves working with feathers but creating any millinery takes her to her happy place!
